NTBAA Career Advancement and Academic Scholarships

    NTBAA Academic Scholarship

    It is our pleasure to inform you that the North Texas Business Aviation Association (NTBAA) will offer academic scholarships to students enrolled in aviation programs at the following institutions, University of North Texas, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Tarrant County College and McKinney High School.

    The following applicable criteria will be used by the NTBAA Scholarship Committee to determine the awarding of NTBAA scholarships:

    • Applicant must be able to demonstrate that the award will be utilized for continued aviation training at specified institution
    • Complete the NTBAA online scholarship application form
    • GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • A short essay that focuses on the applicant's desire to pursue a career in business aviation
    • This scholarship will be awarded third quarter 2018
    • Deadline to submit the online application form is August 31st, 2018

    NTBAA Career Advancement Scholarship

    NTBAA will award scholarships of varying amounts throughout the fiscal year and is dependent on the number of applicants, completed online application, financial need of recipient, and the availability of funds through NTBAA. The total scholarship amounts and the total number of recipients per year will be determined by NTBAA Board of Directors and the Scholarship Committee.

    The following applicable criteria will be used by the NTBAA Scholarship Committee to determine the awarding of NTBAA CAS scholarships:

    • Must be a current NTBAA member with a minimum of six months membership
    • In good standing
    • Awarded funds must be used by recipients for a particular aviation-related class, course or event that enhances their current aviation position and/or career
    • Complete the NTBAA online CAS scholarship application form

    Some examples include, but not limited to: 

    • Conferences (BACE, S&D, IOC, BASS, etc.)
    • Certifications (CAM, Dispatcher, etc.)
    • PDP Courses
    • Other courses/events that will advance your career

    NOTE: The NTBAA CAS is for non-collegiate based classes/programs. Applications for collegiate based courses/programs should be submitted through one of the approved NTBAA collegiate programs (ERAU, UNT, MISD, or TCC). Only one award per applicant every twenty-four calendar months.
